Who Are Monbebe: Open-Ended/Final

April 29th 2018: Monsta X backstage of Inkigayo

Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with Monsta X or Starship Entertainment. All thoughts are my own and are based on my observations and the results I received from this survey.

Here we are, at the final posting of the results. This post is going to be mostly for the 3 opened ended questions that I had but also for any final thoughts I may want to add. So without further or do let’s get into it!

I’m not going to expand much on what song Monbebe want to see a self-cam of because most of the other songs mentioned have less than 10 votes. I will throw honorary mentions in for Destroyer (32), Jealousy (29), and X (23). There were about 30 people who said all or any which I think is something most people can agree with (lol). I do remember seeing one response which said maybe not a self-cam but an acoustic version of Lost in a Dream, which I can see a lot of people wanting because of Kihyun’s iconic high notes. I also think Crazy in Love would be another great contender for a song to have an acoustic version.

The main reason that I wanted to make a separate post for the open-ended questions was because of the other two questions: ‘What Vlive would you like to see?’ And ‘If you could say one thing to Monsta X what would it be?’ While I highlighted some in the graphic above I’m going to expand a little bit here. By far the most wanted Vlive was definitely anything involving food. Classic solo mukbangs, mukbangs with specific members, Kihyun cooking show, Shownu eating with each member in a separate show, Shownu and Wonho eating together etc. There were SO many that just wanted to watch Monsta X eat and honestly, I feel that. The second most was definitely anything related to sleeping. People want to see something like the LieV they did previously, or a dorm slumber party, Hyungwon sleeping etc.

There were a few different suggestions involving games:

• Board games

• Video games

• Any games (lol)

• OT7 Overwatch

• Bowling

Some previous concepts that Monbebe would like to see reappear consist of:

• Monbebe Happy Radio w/ Minhyuk and Kihyun

• Chef Kihyun Cook Cook

• IMMR

• Minhyuk Date

• Mon-News w/ Minhyuk

• Hyungwon/Wonho/Shownu dance video

Some of the most suggested things that Monbebe want to see:

• Dorm Life/Tour (their dorm is a mess they’re never going to do this unless they rent a place and say it’s there’s LMAO)

• Seeing Wonho/Jooheon produce

• 1 hour of each member

• 7 hour vlive that they promised us (this is exact words here)

• Q&A

• Something similar to NCT’s recording diaries

Some responses that stood out to me (either comically or for real, you decide):

• Kihyun photography lesson

• Karaoke

• Kihyun/Shownu beauty concept

• Minhyuk, Hyungwon, Kihyun roast session (I LOVE whoever wrote this, thank you for giving me this idea to imagine in my head, I’m already laughing)

• “The members getting to do a broadcast of something they love to do”

• “Wonho is the best v app person in history kills everyone in this game” (I agree with this a lot)

I really don’t know the exact number here but if i had to guess about 70% of responses just want to see Monsta X eating and talking which I think is something we can all agree that we’d watch. It’s also pretty apparent with the VLIVE relay that they are well aware of what Monbebe like to see on VLIVE. They are also fulfilling their promise with the 7 hours they promised us with this relay, which I never expected them not to, because they are Monsta X and they always do anything for their fans.

The very last question that I asked on the survey was: If you could say one thing to Monsta X, what would it be? These are some of the responses that I wanted to highlight so that if by some miracle of a chance Monsta X saw this they would be able to see how much they mean to their fans.

Finally, I would just like to say thank you to everyone who participated in this survey with taking it and sharing it it means the world to me that so many people got involved and were excited to see the results. I’ve learned a lot from this survey about Monbebe and about how to just conduct a survey in general. I also wish I added some other questions that I thought of after the fact. But, hey, nothing can be perfect! I would love to do other Monsta X related projects since they’re the group I follow the most actively, but at the moment I will let everything from this survey sit and grow….if that makes any sense.
