My First Project: Who Are Monbebe?

People always say you should work on something that you find interesting yourself, that's when the best work is going to be done because you'll never get bored. That's why for my first project I decided to find out who Monsta X's - my favorite KPOP group - fans are. A quick Google search will tell you that Monsta X's fans are called Monbebe, but what a Google search can't tell you is where a majority of Monbebe are from or how many Monbebe are trying to learn Korean, or even what the most common favorite song is among the fans. Those are the questions I want to answer with this project.

This project consists of fans answering survey questions that fall into the following categories: demographics, fundamentals (when they became a fan, if they've ever seen Monsta X in concert etc.) and the last sections asks fans to order Monsta X's albums and songs from each album into their most and least favorite. Since this is my first project I'm finding as responses come in there are some things I could have categorized better, or things I could have added. When I do my final overview of everything I'm going to address those margins of error for a better perspective on the whole survey. I originally posted the survey around April 21st 2018 but took it down about 24 hours later to make some changes and to also have someone help me translate it into Korean. I wanted the survey also available in Korean since Monsta X are a South Korea based group. After the survey was edited and translated I posted it again on April 26th 2018 and plan to leave it up for about a month to try and get as many responses as I can so the results are as accurate and as representative as possible.

What do I plan to do with the results? Analyze them of course!

Now I'm in no way an expert on anything, this survey is mostly for fun and for my own interest. I study marketing in school and things like this can be directly connected with marketing concepts so I find it really interesting. When the survey is "completed" I plan to analyze the results based on my own observations and any other research I may do. I also have notes of predictions that I made before I posted the survey that I'm going to post so that I have something to compare the actual results to.
